RE:        Absolute Approach to GFRC Updates
TO:        Those that have already and to those considering Absolute Approach to GFRC
FROM        Tommy Cook

Hello Everyone,

I am posting updates to our class, as well as some more detailed information.  We have had a lot of calls of interest in the few remaining seats, but with the economy, people are having a hard time coming up with the investment.  Therefore, we have decided to offer a $300 discount to all members of the NING sites.  We will also be running a car to and from the Blue Water Inn each day to reduce or eliminate the need for rental car fees.  We hope that this will help make the class more affordable.

We also want to make sure that everyone understands the classes have two major focal points

1)      Mix designs – we will be explaining  and teaching the science of GFRC, CSA’s and SCC mixes so that when you return to your shop you will have the knowledge to be able to modify (tweak)  the mixes to work with your materials and your environment.  We have been told that this is one of the biggest challenges many of you have experienced thus far, with learning GFRC, is how to get it to work in your hot or cold environments and how to make it work with your water, sand and other admixtures.
2)      Art – we will be explaining and demonstrating in depth  how we work with acid staining and dyes and how we get them to do what we  want them to.  We will be showing how we blend terrazzo accents with stains, how we achieve our unique patterns and blending of colors.  We will show how we use different materials and tools to create natural and unique looks.  We receive regular calls from fabricators asking how we did something to achieve a certain look that they or their client saw on our website, and now is your opportunity to learn our techniques and   tricks that required many years to develop.
We are also excited to announce that we will have reps from Smooth-On, to discuss use of rubber molds for knockouts and other art pieces as well as sink molds, drain molds and others.   Surface 519 to discuss application of the E32K sealer we use as well as to answer any questions you may have on the other sealers that they offer;   a rep from Pro-Seal to discuss the acrylic sealer that we use and a rep from NEG America to discuss curing methods of GFRC.  Please be advised that we will not be selling you ANYTHING or pushing you to use any of the products that the reps sell, nor will your contact info be given to the reps unless you give consent for them to contact you.  We are bringing in the reps solely to help give more info on the products that we use and will be using in the course.

Time is running short and space is limited so please call today 360 297 5055
