Serving both residential and commercial clientele, Garage and Beyond originally started by strictly offering garage organization and epoxy floors. As he built Garage and Beyond, Franco began taking seminars and learning new decorative concrete systems.
“I didn’t realize there was a whole world of concrete coatings,” Franco says. “It just struck my interest, and it’s artistic as well. I have been expanding ever since I started with epoxy floors.”
While Garage and Beyond still specializes in interior floors, epoxies and coatings, Franco and his team also offer resurfacing, custom cabinets, staining and deigning logos, custom engraving, and saw cutting. Franco, who offers both interior and exterior concrete design, is also trained and certified by Dura-Flex, Miracote, Color Maker, and Decorative Concrete Institute. 
Franco, like many Americans, is also taking the step toward providing green products rather than the traditional decorative concrete products that aren’t always environmentally friendly.
“We’ve been working with major manufacturers to assure virtually zero VOC chemicals,” Franco says. “We are trying to be conscious and use earth-friendly products. Today, epoxy flooring systems are greener than tile or other flooring because there’s nothing to throw away and there’s no waste.”
Garage and Beyond’s epoxy floors are backed by a five to 10-year warranty, but their lifespan can be as long as 40 to 50 years. Epoxy flooring, according to Franco, is a longer lasting material than even tile or plain concrete.
Franco reaches prospective clients through aggressive advertising, including using the internet, magazines, and direct mail.
In its six year history, Garage and Beyond has provided superior products for a wide range of clients, but there’s one in particular that Franco recognizes as his crowning achievement to date.
“My favorite one was a custom checkerboard of epoxy floor with the Ferrari logo, which was three feet by six feet, in metallic silver and pearl black,” Franco says. “It came out really, really well and the client was really happy.” It is interesting to know that the logo is not simply a sticker but a custom hand engraved and grouted emblem. The image doesn't show the detail or the craftsmanship that went into creating this one of a kind unique logo design.
