Decorative concrete is, above all, an art form. And for Keith Kar, head of Kar Construction, it is the uniqueness of that art form that first attracted him to decorative concrete.
That was more than two decades ago. Since becoming incorporated in 1982, Kar Construction has cultivated a strong reputation in the Milwaukee area for their unyielding commitment to first class customer service and quality products.
Serving both residential and commercial clientele, Kar Construction provides both interior and exterior concrete designs, including acid staining, core foundation walls, stamped concrete, and concrete countertops.
Like many in the industry today, Kar Construction has evolved into a green company. For example, because Kar actively seeks to work with environmentally friendly suppliers, the majority of his products are, in fact, recycled.
What’s more, Kar Construction is committed to recycling all items, in the office and on the worksite, that can be recycled.
In addition to decorative concrete often being environmentally friendly, it is also long-lasting. With the proper maintenance, decorative concrete could have a potential lifespan of decades.
Kar offers a one-year guarantee on his decorative concrete products. However, if a client has problems after that year, he and his suppliers will stand behind their products and do their best to rectify any problems.
While the majority of Kar’s clientele is the result of word-of-mouth, he also finds his association with Concrete Ideas a positive one. “We’ve been with Concrete Ideas from the very beginning,” Kar says. “We are very proud to be a part of Concrete ideas.”
Kar has worked with countless clients but there is one job that stands out as his one of his best.
“There is one job we performed for a couple that moved from Arizona here to the Midwest. They wished to have their patio stamped then stained like an Arizona flagstone,” Kar says. “The decorative concrete had mountains in Arizona, and we did some vertical stamping around the patio for a wall. It was beautiful when it was finished.”
Those who are interested in viewing Kar’s work can visit his outdoor showroom. The parking lot, which features Kar Construction’s decorative concrete work, is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. For those who want to speak to someone with Kar Construction, the decorative concrete company is open during regular business hours from Monday through Friday.
