Ben Middlemiss, owner of London Landscaping, has dedicated much of his life to perfecting the art of landscape design and construction.
Originally from the United Kingdom, Middlemiss, who holds a masters degree in civil engineering, also continued a family tradition, handed down from generation to generation, with London Landscaping.
Five years ago, Middlemiss launched London Landscaping, a landscaping company that focuses on residential clients and projects in Washington State. Headquartered in Newcastle, Washington, Middlemiss’s company serves all of King and South Snohomish Counties, including such cities as Seattle, Bellevue, Redmond, Woodinville, Bothell, and Everett.
London Landscaping provides exterior decorative concrete designs, including patios and outdoor kitchens, in addition to products and services such as water features, fireplaces, walls, custom carpentry, and custom masonry.
The only brand product Middlemiss uses in his products is DustTone for exterior stamping. London Landscaping obtains all of its other products from local concrete companies.
Middlemiss and his team work hard to ensure 100 percent client satisfaction, which is backed by a one-year warranty. However, that warranty does not include cracking of the concrete.
Because concrete is so durable, however, “if it is well-maintained, it can last a lifetime,” Middlemiss, who secures the majority of his projects through word of mouth and the Internet, says.
The goal at London Landscaping is to “do it once and do it right. Do it for a fair price and guarantee absolute, 100 percent success and customer satisfaction,” Middlemiss asserts.
As a result, Middlemiss and his team have a set process through which they will walk each client, starting with an initial consultation at the client’s home to determine the client’s landscaping needs and to discuss landscaping ideas.
Following the initial consultation, designs will be drafted then a design meeting will be held to discuss the actual construction. London Landscaping also offers after-project care that includes seasonal maintenance schedules, if the client is interested.
