Bryan Canary is more than an entrepreneur and a real estate developer. He’s an artist who strives to work with those clients with whom he has a personality match and with whom there is a common interest. Taking such an approach to each project ensures a successful project.
“If there’s a match, the project is going to come out awesome,” Canary says. “If there’s not a match, the project is not going to work, and I’m not going to enjoy what I’m doing. There has to be a common interest between me and the customer.”
That approach has proved successful for Canary who has received much of his clientele from word-of-mouth. In fact, it has worked so well that Canary has only recently started advertising Raven Rehabs.
Raven Rehabs, which is only one of Canary’s businesses, specializes in acid staining and also provides seamless stamping, epoxy flooring, concrete patterns, concrete engraving, thin finish overlays, trowel down finishes, and micro-toppings.
Decorative concrete is a popular option for many clients because of its durability, ease of maintenance, and its potential lifespan.
“Quite frankly, decorative concrete is a commercial surface,” Canary says, “If it’s maintained properly, it can look as good as the day it was put in, whether it was 10 or 20 years ago. That’s why it’s used in theme parks, restaurants, and malls.”
Despite the durability of decorative concrete, Raven Rehabs generally offers a five year surface warranty on their decorative concrete products. Canary is committed to fixing any problems a client might have. But, he points out, if something is going to go wrong with the decorative concrete, the problem will surface in the first week.
In addition to decorative concrete, Canary also offers specialty and custom finishes such as carpentry, tile, stucco, wrought iron, skylights, and masonry.
Raven Rehabs, which is based in Baltimore, Maryland, serves residential and commercial clients in Baltimore and the surrounding counties.
While Raven Rehabs doesn’t currently have a showroom, one is already in the works and is slated to open sometime in 2009. The showroom will be by appointment only.
